When Amy Smyth* was younger people told her to be a stand up comedian or an artist. She was never overjoyed at either of
these suggestions. Neither profession is easy to break into, or lucrative. She was also not familiar with any stand-up comedian
artists. But Amy was clear on one thing from the start: she wanted to be her own boss and own a company.
Amy loves being self employed and enjoys all aspects of running Amy Smyth Made It. Amy writes the copy, designs the cards and
manages the company from a home office.
Amy currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, Brian. She doesn’t have any hobbies because she runs Amy Smyth
Made It. But she does have any incredibly supportive, and luckily, business savvy, family. And she’s really glad she figured out
how to be a stand-up comedian artist.
* Smyth, not Smith.
